A Simple Berlin Rental Apartment Decorated with Plants, Art Sketches, and Love for Life

Living Room with Kitchen & A bamboo shelf found on eBay

We’ve all seen amazing celeb and designer houses featured on channels like AD, House & Garden etc. They are so well designed, carefully curated with handpicked designer furnitures, they are beautiful, elegant, some are virtually luxury. We looked at them, drooled and wondered when one day we will have a house like that.

Yes, we dream houses like that, but even when we only have a much smaller space maybe seated in the middle of an aged apartment building, it doesn’t mean we couldn’t create something not only functional, but cozy and characteristic. I always feel the house we live in is just an epitome of who we are, books we read, recipes we cook, music we listen to, plants we take care of – they are all the most beautiful and invaluable elements that brings our home to life.

This home of Berlin based designer Nata Key is just an illustration of that: The most luxury we could have to decorate a home is simply our love for life.

Nata’s home is a 64sqm rented apartment in Berlin, where she has been living in for over a year and half. It was still under simple renovation when she just moved in, and since then, she has filled the apartment with plants, souvenirs from travels, her sketches, drawings, findings from flea markets, postcards, and lots lots of love.
